Why you should hike in Chulilla!

This weekend (April 18th), we're really excited to be visiting Chulilla for a hike of around 10-12km! Read on to find out more or book your tickets here: https://www.soyerasmusvlc.com/upcoming/Chulilla

They say a picture speaks a thousand words, and the natural beauty of Chulilla really speaks for itself. The picturesque hanging bridges over the river Turia, the Turia Canyon and old caves transform this hike into a really special experience - one not to be missed!

The Ruta de los Puentes Colgantes or Ruta de Los Calderones is probably Chulilla's most famous hiking route, only about an hour's drive from Valencia city. After a short walk, the Canyon river opens up into a beautiful green oasis, and from there you'll begin to cross the hanging bridges over the river Turia which make this hike so unique and exciting.

The highest bridge in about 15m high over the river, but don't worry if you're scared of heights: all the bridges are completely safe to cross, built in 2013, and well maintained due to the number of hikers that regularly cross them.

The bridges were originally built in order to help the construction workers from Chulilla shorten their daily commute to Loriguilla Reservoir nearby where they were working. Now the bridges are predominantly for explorers of the area -- like us!

You don't need to be an experienced hiker to tackle this route. In fact, its very popular with families and is super accessible for everyone.

However, if you're looking for something a bit more challenging, why not try out rock climbing in the area? The Turia Canyon is particularly popular with rock climbers, and climbing groups are easy to find on Facebook and online.

We're really excited to be organising this trip to such a beautiful, and

we'd love you to join us this Sunday 18th April on our travels to Chulilla! If you'd like to, you can book tickets through this link: https://www.soyerasmusvlc.com/upcoming/Chulilla

Don't forget to bring suncream, plenty of water, food and sensible, comfortable shoes! We hope to see you there!
