5 Reasons Why You Should Visit Benidorm and Fuentes del Algar

Finally the sun has arrived in Valencia - and what better way to make the most of it than to join Soy Erasmus on our trip to Benidorm and Fuentes del Algar this Saturday! I’m sure you’re already convinced - but if not, here are 5 reasons why you need to visit these beautiful destinations.

1. The New York of the Mediterranean

Benidorm is famous for being one of the most popular tourist destinations in Spain - so what better time to go than when those pesky tourists can’t get there! It receives its nickname due to its vast skyline of skyscrapers, there are over 300 to be exact! So in just over an hour you can feel like you’re in the Big Apple.

2. Fresh Air and Clean Beaches

Another reason why this city is so popular is because of its wonderful beaches and sunny weather. In fact it has one of the healthiest climates in Europe with clean seas and unpopulated air. Enjoy the fine golden sand beaches and the clear water - which are exposed to sunlight right up until sunset.

3. A Win For History Fans

Benidorm isn’t all about big skyscrapers and busy nightlife - it is also an historic city with great architecture to appreciate. The historic centre is situated on a promontory and is easily identified by its rising blue domes, narrow streets and picturesque views. The Cerro Canfali rock - known as the balcón del mediterráneo - also offers amazing views across the sea.

4. Fuentes del Algar - Take a Dip

A short distance from Benidorm is the beautiful Fuentes del Algar, a natural site made up of waterfalls and small pools. The main waterfall is over 15 metres tall and the fresh pools of water are supposedly a source of health - so be sure to bring a swimming cost.

5. A Look into the Past

Along one of the routes of Fuentes del Algar, past the old terraces and caves, you will find the Fort de Bèrnia. This historical building was built way back in 1562 by royal engineer Juan Bautista Antoneli. If you go now on a clear day, you might be able to see Ibiza across the sea!

So don't miss out and join us this Saturday - tickets are now just 17€!
