If you want to explore all the wonders of Morocco, then this is the ideal trip for you! You will discover the rich history of imperial cities, breathtaking nature, and the mountains where you will find thousands of Kasbahs (castles made from sun-dried brick), and Berbers towns. Explore Morocco’s Erg Chebbi dunes in the Sahara desert -  spend the night under the stars in a Berber-style desert camp. Ride camel across the sand, try sandboarding, and 4-wheeler ride.    

DAY 1 (6/10/23): Departure from Valencia, Alicante and Murcia to Algeciras

We will leave Valencia at 18:00 (Alicante at 20:00 the meeting point at Plaza de Toros, Murcia at 21:15 the meeting point at Plaza circular), to travel all night and arrive in the early morning in Algeciras. 

DAY 2 (7/10/23): Departure from Algeciras to Morocco

From Algeciras, we will take a boat to Tanger. We will witness some of the most important border crossings in the world, the passage from Europe to Africa.

Once we’ve arrived in Morocco. Our first destination is Chefchaouen, ​a holy city situated on top of a mountain. It’s known for the striking, blue-washed buildings of its old town. We’ll have a guided tour and free time to wander through the streets of the old town. The narrowness of the streets does not allow transportation other than donkeys. We will see magnificent mosques and Koranic schools. It is here in Chefchaouen where we will spend our first night in Africa.

DAY 3 (8/10/23):  Chefchaouen/ Fez.

After breakfast, we will take our bus to go to Fez. Fez ​has always been associated with studying and religion and is still the spiritual capital of Morocco.​ Here you’ll find the Royal Palace of Fez, The Mellah (Jewish quarter) and the oldest mosque in Fez. We’ll have a guided tour and free time to explore the city on our own. In Fez, we will spend our second night.

DAY 4 (9/10/23): ​Fez/ Merzouga desert (stops on the way in Azrou and Ziz Valley)

We’ll continue travelling to the Merzouga desert, where we’ll sleep under the stars! ​On the way, we will have two lovely stops in Azrou and Ziz Valley. You will have a meeting with the wild monkeys living in Morocco’s Cedar Forest (near Azrou) and amazing spots where you’ll find them. 

Morocco is home to numerous stunning palm groves and our journey from the imperial city of Fez toward the vast Sahara will take you past an oasis valley before reaching the dunes themselves. As we pass through different towns and terrains, the landscape begins to notably change into a rocky scrubland, geographically indicating the beginning of the ‘desert.’ We will stop to appreciate the area known as the Ziz Valley. It is a place to admire the immensity of the mountain and the erosion that produced the waters that formerly came from the High Atlas with great force. The contrast of the green palm trees with the red mountain earth lets you see the typical ochre-coloured houses that are arranged along this valley to form a spectacular landscape that is not to be missed if we travel on this road.

Once we’re in Merzouga we’ll ride camels over the dunes and watch the sunset in the desert and then spend the evening in ​Jaimas ​(in a typical Sahara Desert tent). We’ll have dinner and we will spend the night there.

DAY 5 (10/10/23): The Sahara Desert​ (Morocco´s Erg Chebbi dunes)

We’ll get up early in the morning so that we can see the magnificent desert sunrise. We’ll ride the camels back to the hotel. We’ll spend the evening partying, drinking, and dancing to tambourines in the hotel in the desert.

​There is also the option to have some fun activities (*optional activities):

• 4x4 rent with a driver, if you want to explore the amazing landscapes of Morocco's Sahara desert, you will need a special car as a 4wd (4×4) rental car, because 4×4 cars are required to access certain parts of Morocco. During your ride, you’ll visit nomadic villages and lakes. 
• Quad biking, If you are adventurous you can experience the thrill of racing across sand dunes on a quad bike. There are two types of bikes you can choose from. For those who are a little unsure of their motorbike prowess there are 160cc semi-automatic quad bikes, while for those who wish to go hell for leather and have some idea of what they are doing there are 200cc manual quad bikes but a little introduction to quad biking, you'll be ready to negotiate your all-terrain vehicle across the undulating sand dunes with your guide. 
• Sand Boarding in the desert can be a great fun way to explore Morocco's dunes. You can surf down the massive up to 250 high dunes. Sandboarding is an experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Skiing is permitted anywhere on the dunefield away from vegetated areas. Most terrain sandboards are composed of hardwood ply, while 'full-size' sandboards are a plank of wood, fibreglass, and plastic composite. However, a sandboarding base will sometimes work on steeper dunes.

DAY 6 (11/10/23): Ouarzazate  (stops on the way in Khetarras near Erfoud, Todgha (Todra) Gorges, The Valley of Roses)

In the morning we’ll continue our journey to ​Ouarzazate. On the way, we will stop to view Khetarra's ingenious technology to harvest hidden groundwater. Under sandy hills, you will see a surface looking like a moon. It is a well-planned network of khettaras - irrigation channels excavated in the 14th century used to provide the area with fresh water. 

The next stop we will have on the way to Ouarzazate will be the spectacular Todgha (also called "Todra") Gorges. It is located in the eastern Atlas Mountains and is one of the most important gorges in Morocco. It begins at the oasis of Tinghir, whose beautiful palm gardens from the entrance gate to the gorge. As we drive passing small clay villages and ancient kasbahs, gigantic landscapes and dramatic rock faces await you, forming a picturesque canyon. Be enchanted by the breathtaking scenery of the Todra Gorge.

On the road between the Ouarzazate and Todra Gorge, we will have another lovely stop to see The Valley of Roses. In the dry folds of the High Atlas mountains, approaching the Sahara, there´s an unexpected place called The Valley of Roses where, in spring, the entire area is awash with pink Persian roses. In the small town of El-Kelaa M´Gouna, roses nestle among hedgerows so that they´re not immediately visible, but they are the lifeblood of the town, from their cultivation through to the production of rosewater. The flowers are harvested in mid-May, an event celebrated in the colourful and sweet-smelling Rose Festival, which draws around 20000 people to the small town. The three-day festival is a time of song and dance, feasting, souk-like markets and a chariot procession through a shower of rose petals. All around the year in this magical place visitors and manufacturers can purchase rose water and other rose-scented products, bearing in mind that it takes up to three tons of rose petals to produce one litre of rose water.

Our final stop of the day 6 journey will be Ouarzazate. It acts as a gateway to/from the Sahara Desert.  The road to Ouarzazate is just like in a movie, ups and downs, desert and suddenly from nowhere will appear some oasis or a small village. Ouarzazate is a small town, but it is very famous because of its surroundings. Ouarzazate is known as the Hollywood of Africa. This is due to its movie studios, including one of the largest in the world: Atlas Studios, where have been recorded numerous world-famous movies such as Gladiator, Cleopatra, etc... The centre of Ouarzazate is small enough and only a few hours are enough to see, the main square Mohammed V, the Kasbah and the Cinema museum. We’ll spend the night in Ouarzazate​. 

DAY 7 (12/10/23): Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah/ Marrakech 

​We’ll get up early and go to Marrakech. On our way, we will stop to see the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, ​one of the most beautiful, unspoiled, which was declared a "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO. In Marrakech, we’ll see the famous Plaza Jemma El Fna, ​which is spectacular in the evening. We’ll have a guided tour to get to know the history of this incredible place and the main monuments and buildings.​We’ll spend the night at a hotel in Marrakech.

DAY 8 (13/10/23): ​Marrakech/ Casablanca 

We will have all day to continue exploring Marrakech! We will spend the night in Casablanca.

DAY 9 (14/10/23): ​Casablanca/ Rabat/ Back to Valencia

The next day, we will get up early to visit the Mosque of Hassan II, which is the second largest in the world. We will also visit Koutoubia and Bahia. Afterwards, we’ll head towards Rabat, ​ the capital of the kingdom, where there is a panoramic view of the mausoleum of Mohammed V.​ After visiting Rabat, ​we will go to Tanger, to catch our ferry. From Algeciras, we will travel all night and arrive in Valencia in the afternoon.

DAY 10 (15/10/23): Arrival in Valencia, Alicante, Murcia

The bus will arrive in Valencia, Alicante and Murcia in the afternoon.

• We highly recommend that you get travel insurance for our Morocco trip. This is because we are travelling to another continent and will be away for 9 days. Remember that Morocco is a Muslim country, so they don´t drink, don´t serve, but they sell alcohol in supermarkets such as a Carrefour in the big cities we are going to visit (Fez, Marrakesh, Ouarzazate, Casablanca). So, during dinner drinks are not included.

The Kingdom of Morocco has launched, as of July 10, 2022, the procedure for granting the electronic visa "eVisa" through the platform https://www.acces-maroc.ma/#/ to facilitate the granting of visas foreigners subject to this formality.

Morocco requires a visa to enter at least six months validity on your passport when entering the country, so make sure you find out whether your passport has long enough before it expires before you travel.
